National Geographic Captures Crocodile Attack From Extreme Close Quarters. And It’s Freaky!

You have heard of crocodile tears and probably seen them too, but have you ever seen what is inside a crocodile’s mouth?

National Geographic photographer Trevor Frost and filmmaker Melissa Lesh took off to Australia, to capture photos and videos of saltwater crocodile. They deployed nine cameras, which successfully captured visuals of saltwater crocodile attack from the inside of those jaws. This was a month-long expedition.

Frost and Lesh are experts who live to tell the tale of their expedition. Apparently, saltwater crocodiles have the strongest recorded bite force of any animal on the planet. That force can easily crush a human skull.

Groovy, isn’t it? And scary.

“Of course, to get good pictures, you have to get close, and you have to get into their lives. Even something as simple as a tripod being up on the boat can be dangerous when you’re doing this kind of work. I definitely have an enormous respect for the creature, and my heart is always going. I’m always thinking about every little thing that could go wrong to make sure that I stay safe and that I keep my team safe as well… So far I’m still alive, and I’ve got all my fingers and toes,” said Trevor Frost.

A picture is worth a thousand words. I am sort of speechless after this video!
